MESSA and our health savings account (HSA) partner, HealthEquity, have scheduled several free webinars over the next few weeks to help members better understand their MESSA ABC high-deductible health plan and how to use their HSA to stretch the value of their health care dollars.
New MESSA ABC members (as well as current members needing a refresher) will learn how the deductible works, what counts as free preventive care and important details about prescription coverage.

Save time with online doctor visits through Amwell
Ever tried to get a doctor appointment during non-work hours for minor, nonemergency illnesses? It can be tough and you can spend hours – or even days – waiting for an appointment.
MESSA plans cover a time-saving option for busy members and their dependents: online doctor visits through Amwell for illnesses such as sinus infection, pink eye or rash.
Most online health care sessions last about 10 minutes; the average wait time to see a doctor is three minutes.
The $49 visit is a covered MESSA benefit and subject to your plan deductible and applicable office visit copayment.
Using online care to meet with a doctor is like using a video chat tool.
Your information is private and Amwell meets all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
