Many thanks for being so helpful and thoughtful regarding the test kit and water resources for us Flint MEA members. My wife and I gave a water sample to the National Guard at our local Fire Station a week ago but haven't heard back.
Other people that we have talked to are wondering what that testing will tell us or if perhaps, it is just for their data gathering purposes.
I am recent/past secretary for the MCCEA and have been working with students at Mott to be sure that the water in our art studio is from outside of the Flint water system.
We have been doing this for the past year and a half in spite of all of the assurances that we have been getting from the school, the city, the state and the federal government.It has been rather frustrating, as you can imagine.Your help is spot on regarding local needs, something that can't be said for our local government's response.
